Beat Bloom

Cyan concentric rings bloom outward and particles burst radially on detected bass beats from a synth signal; a breathing center dot pulses continuously.

When to use it

Audio-reactive hero backgrounds, music visualizer demos, or ambient screensavers that respond to a beat or mic input.

When not to

Contexts requiring silence or no motion — the synth signal fires constantly. Dark-background requirement only; background color is hardcoded.

Working with an AI agent

Every component ships agent-ready metadata. An example instruction for this one:

Change accent color from cyan to electric violet by replacing all '#22d3ee' and 'rgba(34,211,238' with '#a855f7' and 'rgba(168,85,247', then increase NP to 96 for denser particle bursts.

Safe to edit

  • accent color (ACC='#22d3ee')
  • ring count (NR=5)
  • particle count (NP=64)
  • synth beat tempo (beat=s*1.8)
  • particle speed range (0.55+Math.random()*0.7)

Keep intact

  • IIFE wrapper
  • prefers-reduced-motion guard (staticFrame fallback)
  • visibilitychange pause
  • live mic path comment: NEVER connect to destination (feedback)

Known limitations

  • Background color hardcoded to dark navy in CSS — must edit to change
  • Live mic button triggers once; no way to switch back to synth without reload
  • Adaptive beat threshold can miss fast consecutive hits (<140ms cooldown)
